Série Orixás. Primeira tela da série a ser pintada. Exu é o orixá da comunicação. É o guardião das aldeias, cidades, casas e do axé, das coisas que são feitas e do comportamento humano. A palavra Èsù em yorubá significa “esfera” e, na verdade, Exu é o orixá do movimento, o próprio sangue que corre em nossas veias. Ele é quem deve receber as oferendas em primeiro lugar a fim de assegurar que tudo corra bem e de garantir que sua função de mensageiro entre o Orun e o Aiye, mundo material e espiritual, seja plenamente realizada. Na África na época das colonizações, o Exu foi sincretizado erroneamente com o diabo cristão pelos colonizadores, devido ao seu estilo irreverente, brincalhão e a forma como é representado no culto africano, um falo humano ereto, simbolizando a fertilidade.
